Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases we are eagerly awaiting!

Today's pick:

Publisher: Disney-Hyperion
Expected Release Date: December 23, 2014
Page Count: 390
Genre: YA/Sci-Fi

Jubilee Chase and Flynn Cormac should never have met.
Lee is captain of the forces sent to Avon to crush the terraformed planet's rebellious colonists, but she has her own reasons for hating the insurgents.
Rebellion is in Flynn's blood. Terraforming corporations make their fortune by recruiting colonists to make the inhospitable planets livable, with the promise of a better life for their children. But they never fulfilled their promise on Avon, and decades later, Flynn is leading the rebellion.
Desperate for any advantage in a bloody and unrelentingly war, Flynn does the only thing that makes sense when he and Lee cross paths: he returns to base with her as prisoner. But as his fellow rebels prepare to execute this tough-talking girl with nerves of steel, Flynn makes another choice that will change him forever. He and Lee escape the rebel base together, caught between two sides of a senseless war.
The stunning second novel in the Starbound trilogy is an unforgettable story of love and forgiveness in a world torn apart by war.

I LOVED These Broken Stars and had a book hangover for weeks after reading it. It was one of my all time favorite sci-fi books and I've been waiting for This Shattered World ever since then. One time I even got to meet the authors (Amie Kaufman, Meagan Spooner) and they even asked me if they could use my name in a upcoming books (I replied YES!). I wasn't at BEA so I couldn't get an ARC but I'm hoping that soon I will get an opportunity to read it before it comes out.

  1. I still need to read These Broken Stars, I have been dying to. I am hoping to read it soon. I have heard so many good things about the book. And that makes me excited for this one too. And I like the cover a lot.
I hope you do get your hands on an ARC. :D
