ARC Review of Mila 2.0 Renegade by Debra Driza

There is no one left for Mila to trust. Except for a boy she barely knows.
But Hunter has no idea who—and what—Mila really is. She can’t bear to reveal her secret, even though he’s unwittingly joined her search for Richard Grady, a man who may know more details of Mila’s complicated past.
Yet the road to the truth is more dangerous than ever. With General Holland and the Vita Obscura scouring the earth for her whereabouts, Mila must rely on her newfound android abilities to protect herself and Hunter from imminent harm. Still, embracing her identity as a machine leads her to question the state of her humanity—as well as Hunter’s real motives.
Perfect for fans of I Am Number Four and Divergent, this action-packed and heart-wrenching second installment of MILA 2.0 will leave readers breathlessly awaiting the series conclusion."

*An ARC of this book was provided by the author in exchange for a fair and honest review*

Mila 2.0 Renegade basically starts off right where Mila 2.0 ended, Mila and Hunter are on the move looking for the two people Mila's mother spoke of in her last breath. As they advance on their "road trip" both of them face obstacles and harsh realities. Piece by piece Mila has to tell Hunter the truth and uncovers deep secrets. The enemy is closer than Mila realized and this changes everything for her as she faces death, mystery, and action.

When I read Mila 2.0 several months ago I thought it was AMAZING and that the sequel would have to work hard to keep up. However, with Mila 2.0 Renegade, Debra Driza accomplishes that daunting task and writes a book that is even better than the first. One of my wishes from the first book was granted and we got to learn more about Hunter. Some of it even he didn't know and was as equally shocked as Mila. Throughout Mila 2.0 Renegade it is obvious how Hunter feels about Mila and it just continues to grow throughout the novel. His beliefs about Mila are shaken up and while he is angry and sad for a while he gets over it and his feelings return in full strength. Mila faces even more problems and obstacles than Hunter, trying to find the truth, finding out who she is, dealing with her mothers death. Despite this she still manages to stay strong most of the time and continue growing, its obvious how much like a human she is. Additional new characters in Mila 2.0 Renegade are Hunters parents, the members of V.O. and several other secondary characters. They all complement each other and while I hate some of them (Quinn) they make the book much better and interesting.

Mila 2.0 Renegade is full of action and has a great plot, they're both just as good as the first book if not better. A lot of information and plot twists are thrown at you towards the end and the book ends in a GIANT cliffhanger. Personally, I was devastated at the way the book ended on a cliffhanger and am dying for a third book. I would LOVE to see Mila 2.0 Renegade as a movie or TV show since it's perfect for both of those, all the action and spy-esqueness of the book make it a perfect pick. Mila 2.0 Renegade is perfect for people who like The Lunar Chronicles, androids/robots, action, and a amazing YA novel.

5/5 - Amazing book
