BEA 2015 Recap: Day Two

After gaining a little bit of experience from the first day of BEA 2015, I woke up slightly earlier and was in the line to get inside the floor by 7:30 AM. Spent the 1.5 hours of waiting by working on my schedule and talking with and meeting the bloggers near me.

The first thing I did once the floor opened was run to HMH where I talked with them and was able to get an ARC of Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman. Immediately after that I went to the line for the Passenger by Alexandra Bracken signing and in the two minutes that the floor had been open the line had grown humongous. That line forced me to alter my schedule and miss James Dashner and Jennifer Donnelly but in the end I still got a signed copy of Passenger which was my main goal of the day.

As soon as I got Passenger I rushed over to the signing line for Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch and was second in line to getting cut when the line got cut. Spent some time there for some signings and also bumped into Marlon again. We ended up talking and then went around BEA together for the majority of the remaining day.

The rest of the day was filled with signing, galley drops, and walking around BEA with Marlon. We even ate lunch at the autographing area so we could make it to one of the signings.

He somehow convinced me to go to Lev Grossman's signings even though I hadn't read his books. Better meeting him now before I've  read his books to not meeting him and regretting it later, right?

In response I convinced him to come to Marissa Meyer's (whos books are AMAZING) signing with me where I discovered much to my dismay that he hadn't read her books. After meeting the wonderful Marissa Meyer we wandered around for the rest of the day and ended the day on a high note.

Total book haul for day two of BEA 2015 was less than the first day but still contained a bunch of books that I was really excited for.

  2. I missed Jennifer Donnelly and Anne Ursu for PASSENGER! I hear you on that line!!! I was soooo ecstatic that Rebecca Serle's signing line for TRULY MADLY FAMOUSLY wasn't huge when I ran over there at 10:40 after getting out of that line!!! I love when you're at the end of the line and just squeak by and don't have to miss out!! Heh, and HIGH FIVE! I went to Lev Grossman's line despite not having read his books yet, too! I want to, though!!
